Improvements in Process Control of Steel Pipe Coatings with Terahertz Technology

Exploitation of the terahertz (THz) frequency range in recent years allows the use of short terahertz pulses to perform non-contact thickness measurement. High precision measurements used for process control yield products with exceptional performance at a minimum cost. Efforts are underway to certify THz as a standard for measurement of these coatings.
