In oil and gas applications, Precise’s fiber Bragg grating (FBG) technology provides operators a reliable and cost-effective way to better manage oil and gas reservoirs, wellbores, and completions. By utilizing permanently installed fiber optics, operators can derive valuable measurements at each sensor location throughout the array. FBG technology is highly effective for determining subcool, differential reservoir depletion, steam distribution across the lateral, production and fluid levels, cross-flow between reservoir layers and other near wellbore effects.

Precise’s FBG technology utilizes industry-leading designs, allowing for customizable solutions including fully retrievable systems. In partnership with Luna Innovations, our robust surface acquisition panels are suitable for artic-to desert applications with local data output or remote data transfer to cloud-based data servers.
