The LWA 7600 Lightwave Analyzer Series is a fast, easy-to-use tool for testing modern optical components and modules, such as Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) and networks. The series supports measurements across multiple wavelength ranges, including C-band, C/L-band, and O-band, to suit a wide range of telecom, datacom, and silicon photonics applications.

The LWA 7600 Series measures and analyzes Insertion Loss (IL) and Return Loss (RL) distribution, frequency response, and length when scanning optical components in either reflection or transmission mode. For users familiar with Luna’s Optical Backscatter Reflectometry (OBR) platforms, the LWA 7600 Series builds on Luna’s OFDR measurement expertise.

Product Description

The LWA 7600 Series utilizes optical frequency domain reflectometry (OFDR) technology to measure backscattered or transmitted light as a function of distance/time (or wavelength). The extremely high sensitivity and best sampling resolution of 10 μm (in fiber) make the LWA 7600 Series an ideal analyzer for photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and silicon photonics. With the extended measurement range, you can measure up to 1,000 m, making fiber network testing easy. The LWA 7600 Series reduces testing cost and complexity while increasing throughput by measuring RL, IL, and length in reflection or transmission with a single instrument.
